- What counts as a builder?
- Any enabled user who built or edited an app during the billing cycle. Assigned automatically based on actions — no upfront seat management. Everyone else is a member and costs nothing.
- Do I pay per user?
- No. You pay for builders — the people who design and edit apps. Members use those apps for free, with no cap, on every plan.
- What's the free trial?
- Every new workspace starts with $50 in builder credits — roughly three apps built end-to-end. No card required. Credits carry into any paid plan you choose.
- Are there usage meters on paid plans?
- No token meters, no build credits. We monitor for obvious abuse and reach out personally if anything looks off — you'll never hit a silent cutoff mid-build.
- Where do my apps run?
- Every tier runs your app's *data* in your own cloud (AWS today; GCP / Azure on the roadmap) — memory, files, and state never persist on OurStack. Tiers differ on *runtime location*: Pro and Team execute on OurStack-managed infrastructure under `yourteam.ourstack.ai`; Enterprise optionally runs the runtime inside your AWS account via CloudFormation.
- Where does my data go?
- Nowhere we control. Apps talk directly to whatever database or service you configure (your Postgres, Supabase, Airtable, Sheets, APIs). OurStack stores only the app's design — spec, build history, and audit log.
- Can I switch plans?
- Yes — up or down, any month. No annual lock-in except on Enterprise contracts.
- Can I self-host?
- Enterprise's customer-AWS tier is the closest to full self-hosting — both *runtime* and *data* in your cloud. On Pro and Team, only the runtime runs on OurStack; data already lives in your cloud on every tier. If full self-hosting of the builder UI matters to your procurement team, let us know.
